ISAAC organizes workshops which are divided into the categories of robotics and non-robotics. Several workshops are conducted, where a massive turnout of enthusiastic students learn about computing, web designing, application development, and simple manufacture and programming of bots, among many other workshops. The workshops are highly technical and hence students gain tremendous knowledge about prominent technologies and concepts.

Cloud computing provides computation, software, data access and storage services that do not require end-user knowledge of the physical location and configuration of the system that delivers the services. Cloud computing provides deliver applications via the internet, which are accessed from a web browser, while the business software and data are stored on servers at a remote location.

It is a blend of biology and IT and involves development and implementation of computational algorithms and software tools for improving and discovering new models of computation (e.g. DNA computing, neural computing, etc.) JAVA, XML, Perl, C, C++, Python, R, SQL and MATLAB are the programming languages popularly used in this field. Photography will be a stop motion workshop in which participants will click a series of still images with their cameras and use them to create a short film.

Ethical hacking is a form of legal hacking that is done with the permission of an organization to help increase its security. This session discusses many of the business aspects of penetration (pen) testing. This lesson starts with a discussion of confidentiality, integrity and availability. Finally, the lesson finishes up with the history of hacking and a discussion of some of the pertinent laws. So get ready to hack!!

Windows Phone 8 is the second generation of the Windows Phone mobile operating system from Microsoft. Visual effects (commonly shortened to Visual F/X or VFX) are the various processes by which imagery is created and/or manipulated outside the context of a live action shoot. Visual effects involve the integration of live-action footage and generated imagery to create environments which look realistic, but would be dangerous, costly or simply impossible to capture on film.

This is an introductory course in 3D computer animation and modelling. Students use 3D software to create still life compositions, virtual sets and a short animated final project.

EYEdiots is a vision robotics workshop. In this workshop, the participants will give the robot an eye and teach the robot to see the world like the way we human beings do, using a camera,the robot will be able to tell what the robot is sensing. For processing of the images, we use a tool called as MATLAB, which is widely used in industries. In this workshop, the applications that will be taught to the participants are as mentioned below:-

Accelerduino is a new approach to the Human Machine Interface. It is a mixture of Arduino hardware and software with acceleration sensor. It is based on the implementation of acceleration sensor on robotics, graphics and embedded application development. This technology is now widely used in virtual reality, mobile phones, gaming solutions, animated movies etc. It is a higher level Robotics workshop with lot of new things to learn and loads of fun. In this workshop, the applications that will be taught to the participants are as mentioned below:-

It is an autonomous robotics contest. The robot has to perform the task of a following a line track drawn on an environment, avoiding obstacles on the way. In this contest, participants must program autonomous robots to navigate a dangerous track in the shortest time possible.

The puzzling jigsaw is back to haunt young technical minds and tempt the inner child in you. A set of cubes in the shape of a jigsaw puzzle will be given to the contestants, whose robot has to rearrange the cubes to form the image given to them.

Exhibitions were held on all 3 days of ISAAC 2012. Projects on display consisted of Intel Xolo Phone, Autonomous line follower robot, Gesture controlled robot, and Bluetooth controlled robot, 5 DOF (degree of freedom) Robotic arm and many more. The projects made by the Conatus team of our college were also present for all to see, namely, an 8x8x8 Led cube (It is an 8x8x8 cube made of 512 LEDs, and programmed on the Arduino board), a dynamo charger, a project showcasing hydroponics and a mouse controlled robotic arm. Enthusiastic students were in awe of the various projects in display and thoroughly enjoyed inspecting every aspect of each project.
